Service Desk Team Member
SUMMARY
The position of an IT support technician includes working with the end-user, infrastructure support and maintenance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1-Diagnose software and hardware problems
2-Train staff and users in IT
3-Be ready to assist with as wide range of IT related problems when called upon
4-Track, prioritize and document requests using an IT support request system
5-Install and configure new computers and other IT equipment
6-Repair and upgrade different types of computers (software and hardware)
7-Identify problems and repair printers, copiers and scanners
8-Keep track of IT supplies and equipment e.g. cables and adapters
9-Perform regular updates of equipment when needed
10-Install and build network cables and connectors
11-Research and learn about new software, hardware and communications that relates to the PMA’s functions
12-Document systems
Education and Experience Guidelines
Education:
-Certificate from School or College Education related to IT. Practical participation in work experience providing PC Support Services
Experience:
-One year experience in a similar role elsewhere. Preferably in a corporate
Candidates for the above positions are all expected to have:
-The ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic and English fluently.
