JOB PURPOSE:

To support the efficient and effective management of operational information, reporting, and data visualization. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring timely, coherent, and high-quality information management and reporting to support decision-making, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

This position will directly support the Executive Manager(EM) and Programs Manager (PsM) in fulfilling the PEF office’s reporting requirements and information-sharing needs. The role involves analyzing, compiling, and presenting data in user-friendly formats, ensuring that reports are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Additionally, the incumbent will enhance data-driven decision-making by developing and maintaining reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations, facilitating effective program planning, monitoring, and evaluation. They will also support the development of internal workflows and data management systems to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with donor and organizational reporting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

  • Collect, consolidate, and maintain operational information from various functional areas within PEF to support decision-making at local and country levels.
  • Maintain and improve databases, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with operational planning and reporting needs.
  • Prepare and facilitate the timely flow of relevant information for PEF offices.
  • Develop and standardize reports, including situation reports, briefs, and performance reports, ensuring high quality and timely submission.
  • Support coordination between Programme, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and Logistics teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in data and reporting.
  • Strengthen coordination mechanisms within the PEF offices to improve data-driven decision-making and information-sharing.
  • Support data analysis and visualization efforts by developing dashboards, infographics, and other tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and tools that can enhance operational information management and reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure that all reporting and data management practices adhere to PEF’s ethical standards, donor requirements, and best practices.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and the development of guidance materials on operational information management and performance reporting.
  • Allocate 5% of working time to learning activities that benefit both PEF and individual professional development.
  • Support emergency response efforts by coordinating and disseminating timely and accurate operational information.
  • Perform other duties as required, including occasional work on weekends and public holidays (with time off in lieu).

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

  • A comprehensive, regularly updated database of operational information.
  • High-quality, standardized reports (e.g., situation reports, briefs, performance reports) submitted on time.
  • Effective data visualization tools (dashboards, infographics) that enhance decision-making.
  • Documented knowledge-sharing materials for internal capacity building.
  • Improved coordination mechanisms within the Country Office.
  • Contributions to the development and implementation of corporate performance reporting improvements.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of development and humanitarian programs, including data collation, information management best practices, and reporting processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability in analysis and report writing.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn LNGO-specific processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, reporting software, and database management.

Education:       

Advanced university degree (or a first university degree with additional years of relevant experience) in Information Management, Development Studies, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

Field Experience:

Two years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in both oral and written English and Arabic.
