Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus. 

MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:

TECHNICAL SIMULATION SUPPORTER, Gaza Base (1 Position)

Starting date: 27 August 2019.

Type: Service contract, Fixed term contract.

Duration:  27 August 2019-17 Sep 2019 with possibility to extend for another simulation 

Fees                  Per day /8 Hour

Purpose:  Mitigate the impact of emergencies on the health and psychosocial wellbeing of the Palestinian population in the oPt

• MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To support MDM medical emergency manager in the preparation & implementation of medical simulation in the targeted hospital
• To coordinate with emergency team & support department in preparation phase. 
• To follow with the Make-up maker team during their preparation & inform the medical emergency manager about the progress.
• Responsible to assess the community partners (CBOs) for the support during the simulations in the area targeted.
• Responsible the assessment of BLS volunteers to participate in the simulations, by creating the selection criteria, and to check their availability & commitment to the simulations during the preparation & implementation periods.
• To prepare & train the volunteers from the community depending on their role given to each volunteer
• To supervise the volunteers during the preparation & implementation phases of the simulations
• He/She will be under the direct supervision of the medical emergency manager

• REQUIREMENTS

• Medical, Paramedical staff, or any related field 
• Experience in emergency preparedness & response plan of medical emergency programs.
• Previous experience with the local community by implementing emergency preparedness & response projects.
• Previous experience to motivate the community volunteers to participate in the implementation of MDM medical simulation 
• Previous experience in the medical simulation/drill preparation & implementation targeted the health facilities preparedness of mass causalities 
• Previous experience in the medical simulation/drill preparation & implementation targeted the health facilities preparedness of mass causalities 
• Capacity to organize & plan training.
• Good supervision & reporting skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).
• Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint, statistics software…).
