Site Engineer

Islamic Relief (IR) is a humanitarian NGO working in Palestine since 1998. Islamic Relief helps the needy people without regard to creed, race, gender, or ethnicity. It works on achieving economic and social welfare through its joint development and emergency programmes with the local community. Islamic Relief is currently seeking to hire qualified engineers for its in Gaza ,to work in schools rehabilitation projects funded by Islamic Development Bank.

Location : Gaza
Duration : 7 months -(full time)

Main Responsibilities :
Under the guidance of the Construction Manager ,The site Engineers will be responsible for conducting needs assesment,preparing bills of quantities for each school,preparing tender documents,participating in selection of contractor preparing contracts and supervising the implementation of the works by the contractors on the peoject sites,keeping records of all project documents and preparing periodic reports on the project

Candidates must possess the following competenceis:
1-B.S degree in Civil or Archetictural Engineering
2- Related Experience of 5-8 years preferably in supervising schools rehabilitation and or construction projects.
3- Project management skills
4-Technical reports writing skills
5-Working knowledge of engineering and MS oofice applications
6-Interpersonal and communication skills
7-Fluency in English (written and spoken)
