ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in May 2007. ACTED is currently implementing projects covering multiple humanitarian / development sectors, funded by of a variety of international donors, which aim at protecting vulnerable households and strengthening civil society actors across the oPt. ACTED oPt offers a dynamic, rigorous and knowledge-orientated working environment.

In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of communities, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. ACTED currently seeks a Site Management Working Group Information Management Officer for its humanitarian operations in Gaza.

III-Position Profile

  • Develop, maintain and support the Site Management Working Group information management system, including databases, information products, and dashboards
  • Support the collection, validation, and analysis of data related to site populations, site management, and service provision.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of site population figures, site profiles, and service provision indicators
  • Provide technical support and capacity building to SMWG partners in information management, data collection, and analysis
  • Support the development and implementation of data sharing protocols and data protection mechanisms
  • Liaise with relevant clusters and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination
  • Contribute to the development of SMWG information products, including situation reports, maps, and infographics
  • Support the coordination of SMWG meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Provide translation of various documents (e.g. reports, minutes, beneficiary lists, information signs) upon request of the line manager
  • Perform any additional task as requested by the line manager.

Job Requirements

IV- Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics , or any other related field;
  • At least 3 years’ of experience in a similar position;
  • Proven experience working with NGOs, INGOs;
  • Excellent communication skills; approachable and good listener;
  • Excellent team-working skills;
  • Very Good computer literacy, including use of MS Office (Word and Excel);
  • Good verbal and written English skills is of benefit;
