Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.
 
MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:
 
 
Social Worker, Gaza Base (1 Position)
 
 
Starting date:November 01st, 2015
Duration:1 Full Time Contract, 06 months.
 
I-MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-To assist the protection officer to follow incident in ARA (Access Restricted Areas), identify cases, participate to the group assessment, report cases and identify the main needs of victims living in ARA.
-Support the protection officer to follow cases benefited from assistance and integration in other long-term programs.
-Mobilizes community support and participation in the project’s activities, seeks for appropriate community resources to develop ways to meet identified needs and maintains good working relations with various partners and stakeholders
-Establishing a data base on Microsoft access or Excel using the designed questionnaire, filling the collected questionnaire data in the system on a daily basis, daily managing of the data base system and revision of data and preparing reports of assessment results and data analysis as requested
 
 
II-RequirmentS
-University degree preferably in Social Work, sociology or any other related fields
-Experience in social work
-Experience in preparing and designing questionnaires
-Experience in conducting assessments and interviews and story collection
-Skills in monitoring, reporting and following up of cases on the ground
-A good command of spoken and written English
-High skills in data entry management and analysis of data using Excel 
-Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent writing skills and Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
-Arabic and English (both written and spoken)
