Job Description
Position: Social Workers.
Location: Hebron.
Contract: one year with possibility of extension
Job Summary
The Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting the mission of PCRF by providing comprehensive social services to children and families in need through our various Humanitarian and Health Programs and Projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work, a deep understanding of the challenges children face in conflict-affected areas, children’s health and well-being, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of ill and vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective case management ensures beneficiary needs are met and appropriate support and services are received.
- Conduct thorough assessments of children, families, and communities to identify needs and challenges.
- Develop, recommend, and implement individualized care plans that address children's social, medical, physical, emotional, and practical needs.
- Promote the rights and needs of children within healthcare systems, schools, camps, and community organizations.
- Conduct field visits per organizational procedures.
- Carry out individual and community-based services and distributions in support of programs and projects.
- Support visiting medical missions as needed.
- Connect families with appropriate community resources, services, and support networks, including healthcare, education, and rehabilitation assistance.
- Collaborate with local organizations to establish comprehensive service delivery and resource access.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential case records, documentation, and reports by organizational policies, procedures, systems, and relevant regulations.
- Work collaboratively with medical professionals, community representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate care for children.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
One-Time Sponsorship Program:
Surgical Sponsorship Responsibilities:
- Identify children who require immediate or critical surgical procedures (such as corrective surgeries or urgent operations) and evaluate their eligibility for sponsorship.
- Collect all relevant medical records, surgical recommendations, and financial information to verify the urgency and suitability of sponsorship.
- Work closely with medical teams, hospitals, and surgeons to schedule and arrange all necessary surgical procedures.
- Handle logistical support such as pre-operative tests, hospital admission, and follow-up care coordination post-surgery.
- Guide families through the surgical process, providing emotional and practical support to prepare them for their child’s operation and recovery.
- Arrange follow-up visits to monitor the child’s recovery and ensure that any post-operative needs (like medication, therapy, or rehabilitation) are met.
- Track the progress of each surgical case from pre-approval to post-surgery recovery, documenting outcomes and any additional needs that may arise.
Non-Surgical Sponsorship Responsibilities:
- Assess cases where children require non-surgical interventions, such as medication, specialized medical devices, physical therapy, or essential supplies (e.g., nutritional supplements and medical equipment).
- Confirm eligibility by evaluating the family’s financial status, the child’s medical needs, and the urgency of the assistance required.
- Coordinate with pharmacies, medical suppliers, and service providers to secure the necessary items or therapies under the sponsorship.
- Ensure timely delivery or arrangement of non-surgical services, such as physical or occupational therapy, specialized transportation, or in-home care equipment.
- Educate families on using any equipment or supplies provided through sponsorship (e.g., how to operate a medical device safely).
- Offer continued support to help families manage the child’s non-surgical needs, ensuring they have access to resources and understand the treatment plan.
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure that non-surgical interventions have a meaningful impact on the child’s health and quality of life.
- Collect feedback and assess whether additional support is necessary to maximize the benefits of the sponsorship.
- Prepare regular reports on case progress, challenges, and outcomes for review by the supervisor and program management.
- Ensure all documentation complies with PCRF policies, privacy standards, and reporting requirements.
Monthly Program:
- Regularly assess each beneficiary's medical and social needs to or individualized support plans, ensuring they continue receiving the correct type and level of assistance.
- Organize and oversee the monthly distribution of essential items such as medications, medical equipment, nutritional supplements, and supplies (e.g., diapers and specialized milk for children with dietary needs).
- Ensure timely delivery by coordinating with pharmacies, suppliers, and delivery services, making sure families have consistent access to required resources.
- Educate families on properly using the medical supplies or resources provided and offer guidance on managing the child’s ongoing medical needs.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to track each child’s progress, ensuring that the monthly support provided effectively meets their needs.
- Adjust the support plan as necessary based on the child’s evolving health condition or family feedback.
- Maintain detailed records for each beneficiary, documenting the resources provided, progress made, and changes in the child’s condition.
- Prepare monthly reports summarizing program activities, challenges, and outcomes to inform PCRF management.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, Nursing, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of field experience
- Proven experience in social work, preferably with children and families in conflict or crises.
- Strong understanding of child protection laws and ethical guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
- Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
