Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) is an innovative nonprofit that delivers holistic, multi-generational programs to support Palestinian children, youth, and families. TYO’s Mental Health Program offers counseling and services to build resilience, emotional awareness, and healthy relationships. Services include therapy (individual, group, couples), home visits, rehabilitation, case management, and economic assistance. By working closely with teachers, families, and local partners, TYO creates a strong community network to ensure trauma-affected individuals can access the care they need.

Job Description 

TYO is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team in Nablus. The Psychologist will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals and families enrolled in TYO’s programs. This position supports TYO’s holistic, community-centered approach to mental health and well-being. The Psychologist will provide personalized psychotherapy, conduct assessments, and work closely with the Psychosocial Program Manager to identify urgent needs and develop tailored intervention and treatment plans. The role involves both direct therapeutic work and active collaboration with TYO staff, educators, and community partners to support systemic change and promote resilience at the individual, family, and community levels.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties Not Limited To)

  • Provide regular individual and family psychotherapy sessions at the TYO Center in Nablus.
  • Conduct ongoing follow-ups to monitor clients’ psychosocial well-being.
  • Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans based on clients' educational, financial, medical, security, and mental health needs.
  • Stay informed on current and context-relevant psychotherapy methods in Palestine, the Middle East, and globally.
  • Collaborate closely with the Psychosocial Program Manager to assess client progress, adapt treatment plans, and ensure effective case management.
  • Design and lead a practicum program in psychology and social work for youth aged 20–35, including field supervision, training sessions, and material development.
  • Guide and support practicum participants during their practical experience.
  • Plan and deliver mental health awareness and skills-based trainings for program beneficiaries, with a focus on resilience, emotional regulation, and relationship-building.
  • Contribute to regular program evaluation and reporting, including observations, session notes, and feedback on families’ evolving needs.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of direct experience providing psychotherapy to vulnerable populations, preferably in the West Bank.
  • Solid knowledge of available resources in the Nablus Governorate and broader Palestine, including educational, health, and social services.
  • Strong understanding of various family therapy models and their practical application.
  • Familiarity with local mental health training programs and professional development opportunities.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing psychotherapy trainings for young adults and community members.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, caseworkers, and social workers.
  • Experience in case monitoring, evaluation, and reporting across multiple clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Fluency in Arabic; excellent spoken and written English.
