Islamic Relief Palestine in partnership with CAFOD intends to establish a center for psychosocial guidance in Northern Gaza Strip. The centre aims to create healthy atmosphere for children, through psychological support, educational support and other recreational activities. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for the psychosocial guidance center in Northern Gaza Strip 4- Title: Social Worker
Ref: 2009/22/SW
Duration: One year (Full Time)
Main Duties: Collecting information about families and clients, using
interviews, home and school visits, observational techniques. Develop
therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients’ interests, abilities, and needs.
Participates in individual and group therapy sessions with the psychologist.
Candidates must posses the following competencies:
• University Degree in social work or related field.
• At least three years of mental health and psychosocial care experience.
• Basic knowledge in family counseling and cooperation with schools, social service agencies and CBOs.
• Basic understanding and skills of community work and education
