Social Worker (Female)
Médecins du Monde - France (MDM-F) is an international medical organization, which has been present in the occupied Palestinian territory since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Ramallah-Beir Zeit, Gaza and Nablus.
MDM is currently looking for two qualified candidates to fill the position of Social Worker (Female), one based in Ramallah - Bir Zeit and another in Nablus.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
- Implement community based psychosocial activities.
- Implement awareness campaign activities.
- Implement capacity building activities at community level.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meeting with and interviewing people. Assessing needs and social, psycho-social, and/or mental health situations.
- Providing immediate PSS response to victims of critical events including psychosocial support visits, PFAs and PSS assessments.
- Implement PSS Peer Support Groups at community level with children, teenagers, and adults.
- Providing problem management + to affected individuals.
- Implementing community-based awareness campaign activities and psychoeducation sessions.
- Participating in capacity-building work with partners and peer workers.
- Informing, advising, and referring people towards internal services or partner, public or NGO facilities.
- Preparing and monitoring cases.
- Reporting hot cases at community based on MdM protocols and formats used.
- Contributing towards community outreach activities.
- Participating in advocacy activities.
- Ensure the respect of protection mainstreaming and accountability mechanisms in program implementation.
- Participating in working meetings and coordinate with partner structures.
- Represent MdM at community-based events and when needed during meeting and field visits.
- Providing a monthly report of activities to the Mental Health manager not later than the 2nd of the following month, with quantitative data, as well as qualitative analysis.
- Reporting to the Program Manager about the progress and the development of activities, achievements, challenges, and eventual gaps.
- Provide case study and/or testimony and/or success story as agreed with the Program Manager (Qualitative data collection).
- Give quantitative Data input on MdM database according to timing agreed with the Program Manager (i.e. PSS ER data sheet in a daily basis, Peer Support Groups on a daily basis)
- Provide technical activities reports not later than one week after the end of each activity or upon the request of the Program Manager.
- Provide other activities planning and reporting based on the format/ language and period requested by the Program Manager.

- A bachelor's degree in social work, sociology or in any other relevant field/ certified social worker.
- Valid licence /certificate as a Social Worker from MoH.
- Experience in individual and group sessions.
- Experience related to psychosocial assessment.
- Experience in community psychoeducation and community training on MHPSS topics training.
- Previous work experience with international/ national organization.
- Knowledge of PSS international guidelines.
- Ability of organizing, planning and prioritizing tasks.
- Reporting and data collection skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Strong commitment to learning new skills and willingness to be accompanied toward the achievement of new competencies.
- Clear commitment to the project thematic.
- Ability to communicate any technical or non-technical topic with clarity and to share any important project information with the team.
- Excellent writing skills and Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
