Introduction
The Palestine Children's Relief Fund is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonreligious humanitarian relief organization, established in 1992 to arrange medical care for sick and injured Palestinian children who could not be treated in their homeland. Since our founding, we have expanded and grown into one of the main relief organizations in the Middle East, helping thousands of children each year get the care and support they need to live better lives.
PCRF is currently looking to recruit a highly motivated professional to fill the following position:

Job Objectives
The Social Workers (SW) play a critical role in PCRF, as they are responsible for representing the organization at the local level; identifying and following up on medical cases for treatment locally and going abroad; supporting volunteer missions and humanitarian projects under the supervision of the Area Coordinator; and ensuring a high level of professionalism and transparency in order to ensure achieving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The SW reports directly to the relevant Area Coordinator (AC).
Field Work Responsibilities
Identify medical cases for treatment through the different programs including medical missions, humanitarian programs, and patients affairs.
Develop and maintain close relationships with local NGOs and CBOs to identify possible patients and cases in need of assistance.
Communicate the role and activities of the PCRF on a continuous basis to all public and private doctors, hospital administrators, local and international NGOs, charities, women’s organizations, and local governments who deal with health care for children and related activities.
Raise Public Awareness regarding the PCRF scope of work, its programs, missions, and projects.
Prepare complete files for cases and share with the AC.
Communicate with families and beneficiaries in a clear, professional, and respectful manner.
Prepare and share with the AC accurate and complete medical and social reports/evaluations of the treated children and their families.
Create and maintain Google Drive folders for each and every treated case and share with the AC and management.
Medical Missions
Under the daily supervision of AC, support visiting medical teams in all their medical and personal needs.
Make sure that agreed plans and schedule for the missions are implemented smoothly and efficiently and provide perdurable support to the medical mission and the local team members.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the local staff and ensure their full cooperation and support for cases during screening and surgeries.
Submit to the AC the screening list of patients no less than two weeks before mission arrival.
Provide support to the visiting volunteering missions for different matters including food, lodging, and travel among others.
Update the missions’ surgery list on a daily basis to ensure visiting team members and local hospital staff have the most recent and up-to-date information.
Document all related missions’ expenses and share with AC.
Report on any medical or social problems by the local staff, hospital administration, PCRF volunteers or families of children to the AC.
Submit a report of final screening and surgery lists to the management no later than one week of mission completion to the AC.
Document all prepare follow-up reports of children after treatment and share with the AC.
Monthly and One-Time Child Sponsorship
Identify suitable cases for sponsorships.
Evaluate sponsored cases on a monthly basis and recommend to the AC those who are no longer in need of sponsorship due to age, improved medical condition, or families better economic situation or lack of cooperation with PCRF staff.
Evaluate assistance offered to the sponsored children and report to the AC of any changes. This is done through different means including being present during the delivery of service/good and through home visits.
High-quality Photos and videos must be taken to document assistance offered and must be submitted to the AC.
Document all beneficiaries’ reports in the relevant folders in the google drive and update information as needed on Monday.com.
Humanitarian Projects
Locate beneficiaries and projects in need of support and share with the AC.
Participate in the implementation of humanitarian projects as needed.
Liaise with the partner organizations as needed to follow up on the implementation of the project and share information with the AC as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain office equipment and report changes to the AC in a timely manner.
Follow up on Monday boards regularly and the goals set by HR.
Respect the office rules and regulations including working hours and reporting requirements.
Obtain complete and comprehensive patient records and share with the AC to file in the relevant IT platforms.
Provide complete and comprehensive financial expense reports on a monthly basis to the AC.
Follow HR, procurement, and financial policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Skills/Qualifications
Minimum Skill Requirements
A minimum total of 2 years of field experience.
BA in Social Work or another related field.
Fluency in using Google Apps.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Communication
Fluent in written and spoken Arabic; English language is spoken adequately
Accurately prepare written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional across languages.
Listen to others and accept input from team members.
Dress and speak in a professional and polite manner to all volunteers, staff, beneficiaries, and others.
