Position: Social Workers.

Location: Hebron, Ramallah.

Reports to: Director of Operations.

Technical supervision: Social Worker Supervisor.

The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical and humanitarian aid to children in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of children affected by conflict, hardship, and illness. We work closely with local communities, healthcare providers, and international partners to ensure that children receive the care and support they need.

Position Overview:
The Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting the mission of PCRF by providing comprehensive social services to children and families in need through our various Humanitarian and Health Programs and Projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children in conflict-affected areas,  children’s health and well-being, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of ill and vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effective case management that ensures beneficiary needs are met and they receive appropriate support and services.
• Conduct thorough assessments of children, families and communities to identify needs and challenges.
• Develop, recommend and implement individualized care plans that address the social, medical, physical, emotional, and practical needs of children.
• Promote the rights and needs of children within healthcare systems, schools, camps and community organizations.
• Conduct field visits per organizational procedures..
• Carry out individual and community based services and distributions in support of programs and projects..
• Support visiting medical missions as needed.
• Connect families with appropriate community resources, services, and support networks, including healthcare, education, and rehabilitation assistance.
• Collaborate with local organizations to establish comprehensive service delivery and access to resources.
• Maintain timely, accurate and confidential case records, documentation, and reports in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, systems and relevant regulations.
• Work collaboratively with medical professionals, community representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate care for children.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, or a related field. 
• 3 to 5 years field experience
• Proven experience in social work, preferably with children and families in conflict or crisis situations.
• Strong understanding of child protection laws and ethical guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
• Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children.
