Socio Economic Impact Field Worker
Job Description
CHF International is implementing a three-year program, called Palestinian Community Assistance Program in Gaza with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The overall goal for PCAP is to pave the way to a brighter future for Palestinians through social and economic relief and recovery by meeting basic humanitarian needs and laying the foundations for long-term recovery in Gaza. To support the implementation of this program, CHF International and partners are seeking qualified candidates to assume the following positions, on a possible renewable yearly contract:
Socio Economic Impact Field Worker (5 position) – Gaza
Programs: USAID-PCAP
Duration: 1 year
1- Job Summary and Duties:
CHF is seeking a candidate for Socio Economic Impact Field Worker positions in its Gaza Office. The Socio Economic Impact Field Worker shall be responsible for collecting program data related to CHF’s role under PCAP, which comprise of Housing, Infrastructure and Agriculture.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain and facilitate contacts and relations between Housing project and community stakeholders or among these entities and groups.
-Coordinate with the Project Engineers in relation to the beneficiaries which have been informed about the PCAP program.
-Participate in identifying the community stakeholders and representatives within each target area and supervise the process of involving them in all steps of Housing activities.
-Participate in the process of developing plan development Framework for each area ensuring community and involvement.
-Check information and verify through pre-project visits that project elements are viable and available.
-Participate in training seminars and courses related to work nature, and participate as trainer in areas of qualifications.
-Organize and/or participate in facilitation meetings of different types for and between CHF and community representatives.
-Participate together with M&E staff, in assisting the team in developing the action plans and the working methodologies of the department, and other CHF plans and activities.
Qualifications:
Education and Training
-A university degree in areas such as human development, social policy, public administration, program evaluation and international and community development.
Experience
-At least two years of experience in: participatory assessment and monitoring, data processing or analysis and computer experience, training, facilitation and communication skills, and M&E design experience
-For community assessment and for project design, evaluation and implementation: good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities
Technical skills
-High analytical and reporting skills.
-Ability to solve problems in the field with beneficiaries
-Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
-Computer/word processing and standard office software skills.
