Job Summary:

The Software Engineer is responsible for gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software and web application solutions.
2. Write high quality effective software following best practices and object oriented principles.
3. Write well-designed, testable code.
4. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
5. Document and maintain software functionality.
6. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
7. Design, develop and maintain a friendly, well-structured and responsive website (front and the back end) using standard programming languages and practices.
8. Analyze user needs and business processes to develop appropriate web design and content.
9. Work closely with the information technology team.
10. Participate in educational opportunities and self-development activities.
11. Comply with hospital’s policies and procedures.
12. Participate in hospital wide performance improvement initiatives.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or any other related fields.
2. 3+ years of professional software and web development experience.
3. Experience designing interactive applications.
4. Ability to develop software in Java, Python or other programming languages.
5. Experience with web frameworks such as Django.
6. Excellent knowledge with SQL and its variation among popular databases such as Oracle.
7. Experience developing web applications using popular web framework such as JSF, Spring MVC is a plus.
8. Experience in ERP modules such as Finance, Inventory Management is also a plus.
9. Excellent command of Arabic and English.
10. Strong communication and presentations skills.
11. Strong analytic skills.
12. Superior organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities.
13. Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time.
14. Must be a team player.
