Sport Development Coordinator
Palestine Association for Children’s Encouragement of Sports (PACES), a UK registered NGO working in Palestine since 2006, is currently seeking to recruit two dynamic and highly motivated individual for the following Part Time position in Palestine:
Job Title : Sport Development Coordinator (Part Time – Gaza)

Reports to: Country Manager (Administrative) & Regional Sports Development Manager (Technical)
Starting date: Immediately

General Description of the Role:
The Sport Development Coordinator will assist the Country Manager and Sports Development Manager in the management and ongoing development of PACES’ work in his / her area,
including providing Technical and Administrative support during of practice sessions and monitoring the performance of coaches,
while ensuring that PACES’ work contributes effectively and effeciently towards meeting the short, medium, and long term objectives of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Represents PACES in the supervised area
-Implement PACES’ vision, policy and objectives.
-Liaison between the coaches in the supervised area and the management of PACES.
-Monitoring the execution of the agreements signed between PACES and the clubs in the supervised area.
-Full coverage of PACES’ activities in the supervised area.
-Observing the performance of the coaches.
-Developing and improving the performance of the coaches in the clubs through direct intervention in sessions.
-Reporting to technical supervisor/manager of sports programs on coaches’ performance during session.
-Plan and implement a schedule for visits to clubs and training sessions that includes on average 15 visits per month
-Under supervision and instruction of the Regional Sports Development Manager:
-Conduct workshops to support coaches abilities,
-Work on the yearly sports calendar,
-Under supervision and instruction of the Regional Sports Development Manager and in coordination with Area Supervisor, inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas (mainly technical) and possible remedial action. ?
-Submit bi monthly reports to the Regional Sports Development Manager regarding the observations resulting from the visits.
-Interact with Regional Sports Development Manager to develop the sports program when needed.
-Participate in the planning and preparation of the next cycle’s program (identifying possible new clubs, performing
-introductory visits with the team, etc...)
-Participate in the end of year evaluation process of the clubs that opearted during the academic year.
Essential Skills
-Must be of good conduct of high moral standing.
-Specialized in Physical Education
-Has attended workshops in training in Football and Basketball.
-At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university
-At least 5 year experience in training.
-Must be aged between 30 and 45 years old.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, cross-cultural)
-Team Player
-Strong representational skills
-Strong report writing skills
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Of ce (speci cally Outlook, Word and Excel) & Internet communications technologies.
-Fluency both in written and oral English and Arabic a must.
-Holding valid and clean driving license is preferable.
-High standards of integrity and transparency.
-Valid driving license.
