Sub-Grants and Capacity Building Officer

CARE International seeks an experienced and committed professional to fill the vacant position of:

Duration: 27 month (contingent upon funding)
Location: Gaza
Number of posts: two
Expected starting date: May 1st, 2011

Required Education:
Bachelor degree in Development Studies, Human Rights, Peace Building and Conflict Resolutions, Sociology or any related field, Master’s Degree is desired.

Required Experience:
At least four years’ experience in supervising and monitoring of civil society projects, preferably at the community level; includes experience in sub-grants management, assessment, oversight and budget monitoring & reporting. Relevant experience in CBOs capacity building and training

Technical Skills:
Good written & verbal communications in Arabic & English. Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel spreadsheets, internet and basic financial management skills
