In the West Bank and Gaza, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.
Partnerships with Youth is a USAID-funded program that builds on and expands USAID-supported Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) to create opportunities for active youth learning and innovation in the West Bank. PWY provides subgrants and technical assistance to eight existing YDRCs in Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit, Tulkarem, and Tubas to build their organizational capacity and improve their sustainability, and intends to establish three new YDRCs within the next year
Summary of Position:
The Sub-Grants Fellow guarantees the essential youth presence and voice in PWY activities and planning, and offers hands-on, practical work experience to young Palestinian professionals. Under the supervision of the Organizational Development and Grants Manager, the Sub-grants fellow will be responsible for assisting the sub-grant team in all issues related to sub-grants awarded to a number of YDRCs and other youth serving organizations (YSOs) that will build the YDRCs capacity in developing and implement new youth programs. The Sub-Grants Fellow will assist the team to ensure the sub-grantees’ efficient financial and programmatic management of PWY funds.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Participate in the selection of thematic grant topics and identification of YSOs for thematic grants.
Assist in preparing sub-grants and in-kind grant agreements documentation.
Assist in coordinating with technical staff regarding specifications and procurement of equipment and services under the in-kind grants.
Assist the grant team regarding sub-grantee and trainee vetting.
Assist the grant team in filling and organizing the sub-grants documents.
Assist in keeping track of YDRCs’ and YSOs’ grants, work plans, activities, and deliverables.
Assist in documenting the grants review of monthly milestones and related payments and communicates with YDRCs as necessary.
Assist in maintaining calendar of activities for YSOs and YDRCs (activities with youth, TOTs/meetings, and PWY staff visits and other support).
Participate in on-site visits to the YDRCs and to the YSOs as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attitudes:
A fresh graduate from college or university with a degree in social sciences, media and communication, ICT, community or youth development, or other related field.
BA degree in business, accounting, management, or other related field.
Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office suite and online databases.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members.
Fluency in Arabic and English language skills.
Prior experience in youth development or with a youth-serving organization a plus.
