Subgrants Officer/Coordinator

In the West Bank and Gaza, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.
IREX is recruiting for the following full time positions for the Partnerships with Youth Program based in Ramallah, West Bank. The positions are dependent on availability of funding.
Subgrants Officer/Coordinator
The Sub-Grants Officer/Coordinator will work with the PWY team and the Sub-grantees (YDRCs and NGOs) to ensure proper financial and programmatic management of PWY sub-grants while achieving program goals. The Sub-Grants Officer/Coordinator will report to the Sub-Grants Manager
Tasks & Responsibilities
-Prepare grant agreement documentation and coordinates with technical staff
-Prepare approval documentation for all new sub-grants
-Archive and ensures proper file and document management
-Serve as Grantee Liaison or YDRC Liaison for YDRCs/Grantees as assigned, which includes overall grant management, technical support to grantees in grant and financial management, maintaining a deep knowledge of grantee activities, frequent field visits, communicating regularly with grantees, and monitoring and coaching grantees.
Qualifications and Attitudes:
-BA degree in management, accounting or relevant field.
-At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience providing financial, administrative and/or logistical support preferably with USAID projects.
-Experience working with sub-grants and sub-grantees preferred
-Experience working with communities throughout the West Bank.
-Fluency in Arabic and English.
-Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office suite.
-Excellent attention to detail; strong organizational skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members.
