Succession Planning Consultant
Reports to: Juzoor Project Manager
- Background:
As part of the ongoing partnership between Global Communities and Juzoor for Health and Social Development in the Active Citizenry Activity (ACA) project funded by the USAID, we aim to build and upgrade the capacities of Juzoor’s staff. Juzoor is seeking the services to hold a two-day workshop covering a total of 15 hours to train 19 Juzoor staff members to be completed before end July 2024.
- Rationale:
Succession planning identifies and develops potential future managers within an organization to ensure operational continuity. It is essential in the event of an unexpected departure of a key employee or a planned retirement. Succession planning allows for proper employee training to be put in place to prepare individuals for future managerial positions, resulting in higher employee retention.
By having transparent upward mobility in the organization, new hires have a clearer idea of how to climb the organizational ladder, thus allowing them to set reasonable expectations and stay in the organization longer.
Finally, succession planning is beneficial even during layoffs. Organizations can retain institutional knowledge and use it to train new employees. The plan enables them to run operations smoothly despite the change in leadership.

- How to conduct the Assessment
Understand potential issues in the future, the critical positions that will address these challenges, and the skills required for each role to deal with the problems properly. - How to conduct an Evaluation
Find employees in the organization who have the skills and potential to fill out the roles in the future. - How to Develop the plan
How to develop an employee training plan using knowledge captured from current managements that will be passed on to the organization’s talent pool.

- Experience required:
- Proven experience in this area – reference letters, reports, recommendations from clients, of no less than three years.
- Contract Duration:
The contract is scheduled for August- September 2024 It may be subject to extension upon funds availability and the successful performance evaluation.
- Working code and Methodology:
The consultant/ consulting company, and any of its team/ representatives commits to the following during their engagement with Juzoor as follows:
- Commitment to Juzoor’s code of conduct and rules and regulations at all times.
- Promote the development of relationships with partner organizations based on a concept of partnerships founded on shared values, mutual respect, reciprocity of learning and transparency.
- Maintain close and continuous relations with the target population and its grassroots organizations, and provision to listen to their expectations.
- The consultant/ consulting company acknowledges that they have read and agree and abide by Juzoor’s policies and manuals, including but not limited to the following:
- Juzoor Child Protection Policy.
- Anti-Fraud, Bribery, Corruption policy general protection policy.
- Juzoor Gender Equality Policy.
- Juzoor Sexual Harassment Policy.
- Safeguarding Policy.
- WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY.
- IT& Data Policy
- Code of conduct Policy.
- The consultant Consulting company acknowledges that all information is confidential to Juzoor such as documents, manuals, designs, applications of all sorts, agree that these documents are the sole custody of Juzoor and should not be used outside Juzoor organization unless it is cleared by Juzoor management and the board of directors, as stipulated in Juzoor’s IT& Data Policy.
- The consultant/ Consulting company understands and agrees to fulfill tasks related to her/his TOR, and for the benefit of Juzoor’s activities, as requested by her/his immediate supervisor.

- Special Conditions:
The Supplier\Service Provider is required to:
- Acknowledge this contract\PO is funded by the USAID through the ACA program, and all Fund mandatory provisions and flow down clauses apply.
- Sign the attachments including the USAID’s Mandatory provisions. (Attachments: A1 to A5)
This Procurement/solicitation falls under the ACA citizenship project, funded by the United States Agency for Development (USAID), and the supplier commits in writing to comply with and adhere to all requirements of the funder and sign all the required documentation.
