MSF Spain is looking for a skilled Supply Chain Officer in Jerusalem (with a frequent trip to West Bank) to help us provide quality service to our beneficiaries. This position is a great opportunity for you to gain experience in the humanitarian sector and develop your skills. You will also be an important member of our team focusing on medical and mental health assistance to population.

You will be working in our Jerusalem Office and also you will be helping our team members in organizing and supervising the daily supply chain activities and the teams associated, in the coordination or project level, according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal running of the mission

JOB PROFILE

Main tasks

  • Performing the day to day activities ensuring an efficient running of the administration processes of the supply activities following the supply procedures according to MSF standards and protocols. The activities can include one or more of the following areas:
  • Order Processing: Performing the day to day order processing activities in a particular supply office (coordination or project level)
  • Purchasing: Performing the day to day purchasing activities in a particular supply office (coordination or project level)
  • Transport and Customs: Performing the day to day  procedures and administrative processes for  the clearance and transportation of goods  in a particular supply office (coordination or project level)  ensuring an efficient shipment of goods
  • Performing and coordinating administrative procedures related to his/her supply activity(ies), verifying the compliance to MSF procedures, standards and protocols
  • Ensuring that all necessary tools and management procedures are followed to avoid stock ruptures, losses and excess stocks in the mission
  • Performing delegated tasks according to his / her activity(ies) and as specified in his/her job description
  • The Capital supply team is composed byt the Supply Officer and a Interancional Supply Manager.
  • Support the field 2 projetcs in Hebron and Gaza regading supply procedures, management and follow up.
  • Ensure the importations procedure from iternational medical and logistic ordering (MSF supply in europe) managing the ordering on line interface.
  • Ensure the needed documentation for importing and follow the importation with the broker agent in Tel Aviv.
  • Manage the transport or the arrived order to the project (truck and car transport).
  • Ensure the Jerusalem supply porocedures are managed following the MSF standards (IR, CBA, quotations..)
  • Ensure the supply documents filling (soft and hard copies).
  • Manage the supply program Logistics 7 at capital level. (ordering, purchasing, reception, stocks..)
  • Ensure the follow up and reneval of the supply contrats. (Stationery, water, hygienic products, fuel…).
  • Ensure the Jerusalem office stock management (stationery and hygienic products). (Stocks cards, regular stocks controls, stocks updated in Logistics 7..).
  • Ensure the realtionship with suppliers and propose new ones.
  • Helps in the writing and implementation of the Mission supply guidelines.

Job Requirements
PROFILE
Education
Essential secondary education
Desirable technical diploma, in supply chain, engineering or commerce related studies
Experience
At least 2 years' experience in supply chain related jobs or in the logistics department
Desirable proven understanding of MSF Field Logistics
 
Language
Fluent in Arabic, English and Hebrew in writing, speaking and reading
