System Administrator

The Holy Family Hospital is seeking an individual who will be working as a System Administrator. Individuals with similar required qualifications hereunder are encouraged to apply:
• A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Three to five years of System Administration experience.
• Good knowledge in network installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in network device configuration and network software installation.
• Knowledgeable of computer hardware problems and their solutions.
• Understanding of fundamental networking environment concepts;
can configure Windows 2003 Server (Active directory, Windows DNS, back-up systems) and Linux Servers.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands needed for System
Administration (knowledgeable of Proxy servers, IP Tables, DHCP is a must).
• Comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration.
• Has solid understanding of a Microsoft-based operating system.
• Good exposure to the SQL language and the use of SQL commands with working skills on SQL servers such as MySQL and MS SQL server.
• Web design and knowledge in HTML.
• Independent problem solving and self-direction.
• Programming experience in high-level languages such as Visual C++ and Java is desired.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications, training users, making presentations to the staff, and interacting positively with the management.
• A resident of Bethlehem area is a must.
