Team Leader - Agricultural Component (1 position) - Gaza

1- Job Summary and Duties:

CHF is seeking a candidate for the Team Leader of the Agricultural Component position in its Gaza Office. The Team Leader of the Agricultural Component shall be responsible for project management of the agricultural component under PCAP for CHF, which comprises Agriculture Training, Organic Farming Promotion, Awareness Campaigns and liaising with partners and other actors.

Responsibilities:

-Designing agricultural projects and preparation of implementation plans.
-Organization and monitoring of the working team to achieve the assigned tasks.
-Conducting regular monitoring field visits to assure the implementation quality.
-Drafting the regular weekly and monthly progress reports.
-Designing M&E plans, tools and reports.
-Technical specification of quality of the agricultural material and provided services.
-Liaise, coordinate and follow up with suppliers and services providers to ensure the material and services quality.
-Planning and conducting awareness campaign in urban agriculture.
-Evaluation of the team performance and development of their skills.
-Coordination with the relevant clusters and working groups from the international and national agencies.

Qualifications: Education and Training

-Master or BA degree in Agriculture, Development studies or other relevant field.

Experience
-Past work with USAID and/or other donor funded programs preferred.
-At least 5 years of experience with non-governmental organizations in development projects management.
-Experience in food security and agricultural projects are preferred.
-Experience in managing teams of people both programmatically and operationally

Technical skills

-Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
-Computer/word processing and standard office software skills.
-Good experience in managing agricultural and rural development projects.
-Strong administrative and reporting skills.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work under stress.
-Ability to organize team and good leadership skills.
