In the context of German-Palestinian Technical Cooperation, GTZ has been commissioned by the
German Government to implement the second phase of the

In the context of German-Palestinian Technical Cooperation, GTZ has been commissioned by the
German Government to implement the second phase of the
“Private Sector Development Program (PSDP)“
To support the Program Team at the German House for Development Cooperation in Al-
Bireh, we are looking for a

“Technical Coordinator”
for the management and coordination of IT-enabled program activities of the PSDP.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
• Conception, management and implementation of program activities in the areas of IT-enabled
improvement of service delivery to the private sector by PSDP partners (private and public institutions), e.g. MIS systems, automation of services and process improvement;
• In the context of these sub-components, responsibilities to include:
-ensuring efficient and timely delivery of ongoing project milestones;
-design and development of new or follow-on activities;
-coordination with technical teams of partner institutions;
- management of third party contractors;
-regular reporting and documentation of project progress and impact.
• Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports;
• Maintenance and development of the PSDP’s IT infrastructure, including development of IT
strategy as well as regular soft-and hardware maintenance;
• Support of the program team-leader in overall program management and administration.
Required qualifications:
• University degree in the fields of IT OR business administration with technical specialization or
equivalent;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian private sector or a private
sector association or with international organizations in the fields of private sector development;
• Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
• Ability to coordinate and motivate interdisciplinary teams;
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
• Computer literacy and driving license.
Assignment: Starting 1. February 2010.
