Terminal Researcher and Monitor

As the National Trade Development Organization, PalTrade is the private sector institution
with a direct mandate in trade development. PalTrade is a founder and member of the Private Sector Coordinating Council (PSCC), a consortium of all major private sector institutions, and an important partner of industry and service associations. As such, PalTrade has been a member of the Gaza withdrawal technical committees and negotiations team; especially providing the private sector perspectives on the Access and Movement Agreement (AMA) for the cargo movement at the commercial crossings.
PalTrade is seeking candidates to fill the position of Terminal Researcher and Monitor she/he will be based in PalTrade’s Gaza Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collect data on daily basis related to Gaza commercial crossings;
• Submission of collected data in particular format on a daily basis to the project coordinator;
• Follow up the updates that are related to Gaza trade terminals;
• Assist the project supervisor / coordinator in collecting data from different industrial
associations;
• Data entry of gathered information into the database for both West Bank and Gaza components and provide input and suggestions to project supervisor with regard to improving the current database;
• Provide inputs to the analyzed statistical data.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant field;
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience;
• Knowledge of the private sector in Gaza Strip.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Fluency in English and Excellent report writing skills;
- Excellent communication and follow up skills
- Excellent computer skills, including MS office Internet and SPSS
- Ability to work under pressure.
