Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is a nongovernmental organization established in 1998. PalTrade’s purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian trade as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Export Development Organization with membership of more than 300 Palestinian leading businesses, PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building.

Trade Development Officer. (Ramallah Office)
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work closely with PalTrade departments, industrial associations, PalTrade members, and other stakeholders and counterparts to identify ongoing priorities and needs of Palestinian productive sectors;
-Participate in development of department work plans and implementation, based on clients’ needs and opportunities;
-Support the Export development manager on prospecting new projects, proposals, RFP’s, and other activates within department scope;
-Conduct field visits of factories, farms, and companies in the West Bank;
-Perform sector analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities and assess the need for specific programs or initiatives;
-Participate in all Department activities (such as business matching events, market research, sector assessments, and firm-level technical assistance) including preparation of budgets, managing execution, and follow up with clients and suppliers;
-Locate, collect, and analyze data related to international trade for use in documents, reports, and assessments; and
-Prepare and deliver reports and presentations in both English and Arabic.
Knowledge and Skills
-First-hand knowledge of local business and industry, preferably through direct experience in the private sector;
-Strong analytical and communication skills;
-Excellent English and Arabic language and writing skills;
-Skills in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
-Ability to formulate plans develop budgets, and design activities; and
-Experience in private sector development and with international donors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant field plus 5years work experience, at least two years of which were in similar responsible position.
