FOR TRAINING ON ADVOCACY AND CAMPAIGNING

Technical serviced assignment for an Advocacy Trainer/consultant to conduct a training on Advocacy and develop an annual advocacy strategy and plan of activities

The East Jerusalem YMCA is an implementing partner for Al-Fakhoora Dynamic Futures – Scholarships and Empowerment programme. A programme that is implemented in partnership with United Nations Development Programme/ Programme of assistance to the Palestinian people UNDP/PAPP, funded by the Al-Fakhoora Campaign, and the Islamic development Bank (IDB). 

The East Jerusalem-YMCA invites Proposals for the Technical Services assignment for “Advocacy Training and Consultancy” Gaza Based- under Al-Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Programme.
The overall goal of this consultancy is to develop a clear advocacy Manual: strategy and plan for Al-Fakhoora Dynamic futures’ which will guide advocacy implementation for the year 2014 in line with the programme outreach strategies. This shall be achieved through 2 stages:

The Trainer/ consultant will be assigned to work with the trained group of students’ leaders, supervise, and guide them to participate in developing a clear advocacy strategy and plan of activities which will guide the advocacy activities implementation for the year 2014 in line with Programme’s strategy of defending the right of education, and addressing the challenges that are negatively violating the right of education – the Gaza case study.


Expected outputs/deliverables:
1-Training outline and agenda;
2-drafted Materials for the training package for 16 university students’ leaders in Arabic or English;
3-Five days training workshop on advocacy;
4-A final mission/training report to contain the info on the training course (agenda, participants, and materials), training evaluation results in English;
5-Certificates for the participants for their successful completion of the training.
6-Four days group discussion workshop to develop the 2014 advocacy strategy.
7-A final submission of 2014 Advocacy manual presenting
8-Advocacy strategy and activities, tools, results framework (activities, objectives, outputs, expected results/outcomes , and indicators),  implementation plan, monitoring and evaluation tools in English .

YMCA invites proposals from suitable candidates with substantial experience in the sphere.
