Trainer Education Specialist

AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking the services of experts to be employed as independent contractors for the positions indicated below, for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program.

Trainers will work in three teams of two to plan and implement training for a number of Ministry of Education technology teachers and supervisors in Hebron, Ramallah, and Nablus, and to provide ongoing technical and pedagogical support to MSN schools between October 2010 and June 2011. 

Trainer 1 – Education Specialist (3 positions)

Desired Qualifications:
-A post-graduate degree in Education Technology with a focus on computers in teaching and learning
-Experience as a trainer in education training events
-Knowledge of technology teaching pedagogy
-A minimum of 5 years of experience of teaching at post secondary level
-The ability to adapt curriculum to the individual needs of trainees
-Experience delivering materials on a virtual learning environment (VLE)
-Excellent oral and written skills
-Availability during school semester and holidays
-Excellent coordination skills, and team work
-Excellent analytical and report writing skills
-Willingness to travel to MSN schools
