PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

NATUF is a Palestinian non-governmental organization that promotes community development in a healthy environment; it has a proven track of experience in community development, Environment, Education, Youth, Health and Infrastructure.

NATUF, is a local partner for Al Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Program; a program that is  managed by the United Nations Development Program, Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People, UNDP/PAPP and co-funded by the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah and Education Above All-Al Fakhoora Organization, Qatar. Al Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Program’s ultimate outcome is to establish a cadre of Palestinian university graduates from underserved backgrounds, making meaningful contributions as leaders in their communities and globally.

As a part of its project design, Natuf is providing students with a comprehensive multi-stage training program to empower students to become leaders and advocators, equipped with internationally recognized employable skills, as well as a wide range of opportunities to apply the gained skills and knowledge in a way that enhance their surrounding communities, therefore NATUF seeks to recruit a dynamic staff member for the following position:

Location: Al Fakhoora House, NATUF for Environment & Community Development, Gaza
Period: 18 months with possibility of extension
Monthly Salary: $ 1,000

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Natuf is looking for professional Training and Advocacy Coordinator “skilling” who will work closely with Al Fakhoora House staff to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of Leadership, Advocacy, media& skilling activities. She/He will manage, design, develop, coordinate and conduct large or small scale training programs to help the program students gaining soft and technical skills; in addition to managing advocacy  activities via indoor, outdoor and social media events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Skilling and Leadership activities:
-Conduct Students-Labor Market needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
-Consult with the senior manager and supervisors of the Al Fakhoora program to assess training needs and develop programs to match these needs.
-Preparing Leadership & skilling training action plans and design & prepare training aids and materials with consultants.
-Continually evaluate procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
-Track and report on training outcomes and provide feedback to program participants and management.
-establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers

Social Media and Advocacy
-Coordinate regular communication including responsibility for meetings, webinars and presentations and initiate partnerships with other programs in order to share information and collaborate over opportunities, developing joint strategies, campaigns and action.
-Devise and implement social media advocacy campaigns relevant to UN days and other local and global issues as needed; generate and post updates to increase engagement and awareness.
-Preparing and facilitating video conferences between Gaza students and other international peers.
-Managing a team of volunteers including motivating and inspiring them to be involved in social media and advocacy activities.

In all activities,
-Supervising the implementation of the project activities by service providers, suppliers, partners, trainers, and mentors.
-Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the policies and requirements of steering committee, UNDP PMU and donors.
-Plan and work in compliance with timelines, budget and required quality. Be proactive in bringing issues to the attention of the Program supervisor or Director which might affect the program, positively or adversely.
-In accordance with the beneficiary selection criteria and process established, screening or scoring, gathering and verification of data so that activities are optimized by being offered to a strong group of participants.
-In accordance with a monitoring plan, carry out and fully document field visits, data gathering, and verification of attendance and activity delivery, scoring of tests and related tasks.
-Maintain complete and current activity archives (paper and electronic).
-Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment.
-Prepare activities’ term of references and handle procurement activities such as advertising, opening, evaluating; Take part and share responsibility for all evaluations, and awarding bids
-Handle finance activities including preparing cost estimation and managing activities budget .gathering and maintaining payment documents and requests.
-Gather reporting information, including photographs of activities, photos and success stories for promotions.
-Participant fully in professional development, and conduct yourself at all times in a manner which brings credit to UNDP and Natuf and their humanitarian mission.
-Other duties as assigned.  Occasional work beyond office hours may be required, without additional compensation.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other related field
-At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
-Has good knowledge in photography, videography, and social media.
-Experience in education sector and youth development is an asset.
-Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
-Advanced organizational skills, Self-directed employ, responsive to multiple requests, organized, and able to prioritize and respond to requests within requested timelines and under pressure.
-excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent language skills in English and Arabic.
-Proficiency in MS Office.
