Training and Events Coordinator
Job Description
Chemonics International seeks Procurement Specialist, Procurement Assistant, Civil Society Organizations Specialist and Training and Events Coordinator for its USAID-funded Palestinian Justice Enhancement Program that works to strengthen justice sector institutions and the rule of law in the West Bank and Gaza.
Training and Events Coordinator
Position Objectives, Basic Functions/Critical Tasks:
The training and events coordinator assists technical team leads in designing and holding trainings and events.
Specific tasks include:
-Helps with identifying topics and themes for legal trainings and events
-Identifies short-term assistance, including trainers, for activities
-Manages logistics for all trainings and events, including:
-Identifying locations
-Assisting with vetting for participants, as necessary
-Works closely with Component staff on designing and implementing training events.
-Works with M&E and reporting specialists to provide input for regular and ad hoc reports and to monitor effectiveness of activities
-Additional duties as required by the COP or Operations Manager. Specialized Knowledge and Related Requirements:
-Knowledge of training methodologies preferred
-Strong organizational skills required
-Previous work on USAID or other donor-funded projects highly preferred
-Knowledge of USAID regulations highly preferred
-Strong communications and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently
Education, Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience:
-Minimum of BA degree in a relevant field
-A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field
-Strong Arabic and English skills
