Project Summery: Empowering Palestinian Judicial System – Seyada II is an EU funded project designed to empower the Palestinian Judiciary. The objectives are to assist in strengthening the judicial institutions, improving the legal frame work for the judiciary and first of all to increase the capacities of the people that are forming the Palestinian judicial system, in order to improve the efficiency of their work. The Project will start in August 2008
with planned lifetime of 36 months till July 2012. We are currently seeking:
Duty station: Ramallah

Main Responsibilities:
- Organizing and daily management for Translation documents, letters, fax’s….etc
- Simulations and consecutive translation in meetings.
- Support for international and local experts with regard to interpretation.
- Translation of documents, reports, work plans, press releases….as requested
- Translation from English to Arabic vice - versa
- Administrative support
- Perform additional duties as assigned that fall within the reasonable scope of this position and as requested by the Project Manager, and assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available.
Qualifications:
- At least University degree in Translation, English education, law or any related field
- At least 2 years experience in similar projects and working environment
- Experience in legal translation will be consider as advantage
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of accuracy
- Enthusiasm and commitment to achieve results in a team of local and international experts
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
- Good knowledge in office computer programs, such as MS Office, internet applications is required.
