Job opportunity: Translator

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent humanitarian medical aid organization committed to two objectives: providing medical aid whenever needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender, and raising awareness of the plight of the people who helps. MSF is working in more than 70 countries all around the world.

MSF-Spain is currently seeking to recruit:

TRANSLATOR for its Mental Health and Psycho-social Project in Hebron. The position will start ASAP

Description of the position:

-Perform verbal translation from Arabic to English (and vice versa) during psychotherapy sessions, networking activities with other organizations, trainings, meetings, interviews, during telephone and radio calls or other telecom devices, when necessary in order to ensure simultaneous, accurate, friendly, respectful, objective and fluent communication between MSF international staff and local population.
-Perform written translation from Arabic to English and vice versa.
-Perform some secretarial tasks such as filing and making appointments.


Requirements:

-Education: Essential secondary education. Desirable official translator degree (English/ Arabic)
-Experience: Previous working experience as translator (English/Arabic) required. Desirable with MSF or other NGOs.
-Languages: English and Arabic essential (oral and written).
-Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (Word)
