Optometrists (2) – Hebron Hospital

St John Eye Hospital Group is the leading provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip. The main Hospital is in Jerusalem and has centers in Hebron, Anabta, Kufur Aqab and in Gaza. In addition to our extensive range of specialist services, to provide full and comprehensive high standard refraction and optemtric service to the patients attending the outreach clinic in collaboration with the medical, nursing and AHP staff. 

 We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Optometrists on a part – time basis - 3 days/week, to work at our Hospital in Hebron.

To apply you should have the following:

1. Optometry Degree.
2. To provide a comprehensive refraction service in the Hebron Clinic including contact lenses.
3. To assist in doing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), including macular and optic disc tests relevant to the patient’s condition, Digital Color Photography-both anterior and posterior segment and Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA).
4. To be involved in the teaching of nurses in the use of the lens meter and Auto Refractometer.
5.  To work in collaboration with the other departments of ophthalmic measurements including the orthoptic, corneal clinic etc....
6. All other tasks mentioned in the Quality Management System.
7. Minimum of three years’ experience in Optometry.
8. Evidence of continuing professional development.
9. Computer skills.
10. Ability to communicate fully with staff and patients at all levels.
11. Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) fluently in English.
12. Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team and flexible on working hours.
13. Methodical and organized.
14. Received COVID-19 vaccine.
