Provision of Warehouse facility for Rent in Gaza

Introduction

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) hereby seeks to lease a warehouse space in Gaza city for storage of supplies for its programme and emergency response operations in Gaza. This expression of interest is, therefore, to call for warehouse owners and warehouse service providers who meet the below requirements to submit their responses before the deadline stated below.


Requirements:

Warehouse facility
-Size of the warehouse under the roof should be between 800 - 1000 meter square.
-A minimum of 8 meters ceiling height from finished floor is required throughout the space.
-The warehouse should have a concrete floor and preferably walls made of concrete or hollow blocks.
-The warehouse facility should have proper ventilation, lighting, electricity, water supply and proper drainage as well as sanitary facilities.
-No leakages on the roof
-The warehouse should have minimum of 6 x 4 meters (LXH) wide metal gate with secure locks.
-The warehouse should have an emergency exit and preferably equipped with fire extinguisher.
-The warehouse should be accessible by road with alternative access road network.
-Convenient to load and off-load supplies on /from heavy trucks.
-Location of the warehouse must be within Gaza city
-Duration of the lease shall be initially for two years with possibility of extension for additional two yeas depending on the needs and requirements as well as satisfactory service provision.

Vendor
Interested warehouse owners and warehouse service providers should be locally registered and able to provide the following documents:

-Renewed Business license
-Certificate of incorporation
-Other licenses or authorizations issued by the appropriate government authority to operate business
-Ownership / title deed certificate of the warehouse facility
-Precise location address and size of the warehouse proposed
-Confirmation of monthly rental

Deadline

The response to this EOI should be submitted no later than 21st June 2015

Assessment and shortlisting

-Based on the documents received, UNICEF team will conduct technical assessment and evaluation which also involve physical visit and inspection of the facility
-Warehouse owners and service providers for selected / shortlisted facilities will be contacted for further solicitation.
