Request for Expression of Interest for Vendor database
Introduction
UNICEF intends to update its local database for suppliers of goods and services. To the greatest extent possible, UNICEF shall endeavour to obtain competitive bids directly from suppliers in the following preferred order:
1)local manufacturers of goods; 2) authorized local representatives of manufacturers; 3) local wholesalers or general traders where the requirement involves the supply and set packing of a wide range of products.
Interested local suppliers of under listed goods and services who meet the criterion below are requested to complete a supplier profile form and return for assessment and for possible registration into the local vendor database.
School stationery; Early Childhood learning and play materials
Classroom/school furniture; Security surveillance supplies and equipment
Printing Services; Winter jackets for boys and girls
Construction Works; Office equipment and furniture
Hygiene kits; Water storage tanks
Pipes and fittings; Pumps
Travel Services; Accounting/Audit firms
Medical equipment and supplies; Electrical Equipments/appliances
Requirements for consideration:
Prospective local suppliers should submit the completed supplier profile form together with:
-Certificate of incorporation (must have been in business for a minimum of 2 years)
-Other licenses or authorizations issued by the appropriate government authority to operate business
-Local Bank account
-Audited company accounts for two financial years.
-References of at least three major customers/clients.
-Acceptance of UNICEF’s General Terms and Conditions
-Must not have been involved in inappropriate and unethical social or environmental issues
UNICEF does not procure from Manufacturers/suppliers:
-employing child labour
-of anti-personnel mines (or their affiliates)
-affiliated with terror organisations or groups
Deadline
Interested locally registered suppliers who meet above requirements should complete a copy of
and return together with relevant supporting documents sealed in an envelope marked SPF, UNICEF to UNICEF offices in: Jerusalem, Nablus, Hebron and Gaza by 27 May 2014. Interested potential vendors may also submit their expressions to email address: [email protected]

Review of documents:
Desk review of the supplier profile forms received at the close of 27 May 2014 and necessary physical visits by a consultant to be appointed will take place in July 2014.
Successful applicants will be included in the updated supplier database at the end of the exercise and invited to bid for available requirements from time to time. Please note this notice is not a solicitation to buy goods or services in whatsoever form.
