Global Communities is seeking a University Pioneers Coordinator (West Bank) for the USAID West Bank/Gaza Pioneers-Raedat Project. This five-year $35M Project is intended to leverage women’s potential to create ripple effects that shift gender-based power relations within the Palestinian community. This Activity will improve institutional frameworks and processes in select sectors to ensure they align with legal requirements and international best practice (both existing and new that might be advanced through implementation) for the inclusion of women. It will also support communities to develop the necessary tools to promote women’s inclusion in activities outside the home; build the capacity and confidence of individual women by engaging institutions of higher education and civil society; develop male allies, political structures, and the private sector; and strengthen public awareness and advocacy around women’s issues, including gender-based violence (GBV).
The University Pioneers Coordinator will join the Leadership & Capacity Building team. The coordinator will facilitate various activities within Raedat's University Pioneers strategic intervention. In collaboration with academic institutions and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the leadership & capacity building component to implement University Pioneers Program activities in line with the program timelines and milestones.
- Liaison and collaborate with universities, academic staff, and professors to implement the project activities under the guidance of the Team Leader.
- Contribute to the University Pioneers selection process, and offer guidance and support as required in partnership with Raedat team, involved partners and stakeholders.
- Working closely with Raedat team, academic institutions, and relevant stakeholders to assist in developing and delivering gender sensitive, market driven training modules.
- Facilitate peer learning opportunities in collaboration with the Leadership & Capacity Building component and Raedat Team.
- Coordinate and provide logistical support for planned activities and events, such as bootcamps, competitions, and role models events. Assist University Pioneers in developing and implementing community-based initiatives that are in line with the project’s mandate.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among University Pioneers by actively participating in shared platforms and conferences to promote cross-learning opportunities.
- Assist in engaging guest speakers, role models, professors, and administrative staff as champions, contributing to the empowerment of University Pioneers.
- Assist in maintaining participant records and databases, provide inputs, feedback and reporting mechanisms to the Leadership & Capacity Building Team, and MEL Team to enhance Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation (CLA).
- Coordinating capacity-building sessions with allies and partners, focusing on social and ICT entrepreneurial support.
- Support effective communication channels between participants, allies, relevant stakeholders and Raedat Team.
- Support outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness in academic institutions and communities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Humanitarian Sciences, Leadership Development, Capacity Building, or International Development.
- Minimum of three years of experience in capacity-building roles, preferably in international development projects.
- Proven track record in coordinating & implementing successful capacity-building activities.
- Demonstrated teamwork experience.
- Knowledge of the specific context and challenges in the West Bank and Gaza.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and present technical information clearly and effectively.
- Evidence of effective communication skills, both oral and written, to fulfill the diverse technical requirements of the agreement is desired.
- Full Professional Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic are required.
- Ability to travel on regular basis between West Bank governorates.
