PLACE IN THE ORGANIZATION
The incumbent of this post will be assigned to the Assistant Field Relief Social Services Officer (ARSSO).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
Pay visits to families titled as poor families:
-Obtain titled poor families from the Field Coordinator, and the eligibility free line.
-Pay home visits for the families.
-Determine the families need for Job Creation Programme (JCP).
Follow up JCP lists, and Food voucher beneficiaries the ARSSO:
-Insure that the JCP lists sent to Field Office (FO) on time, regard the followed instructions.
-Follow up the appeal beneficiaries sent to FO on time, regard the followed instructions.
-Report to the ARSSO, Field Coordinator statistical report about the JCP, Food Vouchers beneficiaries.
-Refer needed families to deferent services providers inside, and outside UNRWA.
-Responsible for ensuring beneficiaries are informed of distribution the food vouchers, the same as the workshops to the Food Voucher beneficiaries.
-Insuring that reports, statistics for both JCP, food voucher beneficiaries are archive.
-Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Academic and professional qualifications:
Completion of BA in Sociology, social work, or other related field.
Experience:
Two years’ experience in field and/ or social work, knowing the traditions of the Palestinian refugees.
Language:
Excellent knowledge of Arabic (written and spoken). Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Competencies:
Ability to work under tight deadline with pending several tasks at times.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
-The contractor may be required to work beyond the regular working hours.
-The contractor may be required to travel inside the areas of UNRWA operations.
REMUNERATIONS
GRADE : Band ”C” S1 (Limited Duration Contract)
MONTHLY BASE SALARY : 519.20.JD+ Dependency Allowances payable and other benefits + (Medical Insurance) & Currency Adjustment Factor.
DATE FOR ENTRY ON DUTY : As soon as possible
-Knowledge of Agency Rules, Regulations, and other UNRWA operating systems and activities.
-Knowledge of Database Systems and their use in Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
-Possession of a valid driving license.
EQUIVALENCY:
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered, should less than two qualified candidates are found.
