POSITION TITLE : Logistics Officer
Grade :15
DUTY STATION : Field Office Jerusalem
DEPARTMENT / DIVISION :Procurement & Logistics Department/ Logistics Office

PLACE IN THE ORGANIZATION:

The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Head Field Logistics Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:

-Manages warehousing of all goods (food & nonfood) in the warehouses including reporting.
-Coordinates the supply chain management, resource allocations, inventory logistics, distributions, channels changes to forecasting, supply work flow and processes and supply control systems.
-Manages the receipt, storage and issuance of all goods.
-Supervise the packing and distribution of basic commodities to the targeted refugee beneficiaries ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the related machinery and equipment.
-Works closely with the Procurement Office to ensure timely procurement and transport of basic food commodities needed for distribution to beneficiaries.
-Leads, manages, and trains the Logistics team to perform its activities as planned in an efficient and accountable way.
-Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Academic & Professional Qualifications

-A university degree in business administration or related field.
-Training in procurement and logistics management.

Experience:

At least five years of relevant experience in similar work.

Language:

Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
 

Competencies:

-Strong leadership and organizational skills.
-Demonstrated proficiency in programme / project management.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Proficiency in standard computer applications used by the Agency.
-Integrity, professionalism and ability to work under pressure.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS


-Project implementation, monitoring and evaluation experience.
-Valid Israeli driving license.

 REMUNERATION’S 
 
MONTHLY BASE SALARY       : $1,451.60+ Monthly dependency allowance up to$123.25
DATE FOR ENTRY ON DUTY   : As soon as possible 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The incumbent may be required to work beyond the regular working hours.

EQUIVALENCY:

Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered, should less than two qualified candidates are found.
