PLACE IN THE ORGANIZATION
The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Senior Staff Nurse or Staff Nurse in the Health Centre he/she is assigned to.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
-Performs nursing activities required for child care, e.g., history taking, child measurements and vaccinations; carries out nursing tasks related to school health activities where applicable.
-Performs triage activities and conducts health education sessions for patients.
-Performs general nursing functions in the preparation and execution of dressing, injections, temperature taking, weighing and measuring blood pressure.
-Assists in carrying out antenatal care, e.g., history taking, health education, counseling, measuring weight, height and blood pressure and vaccinations; performs urine and blood tests, where required.
-Carries out nursing activities for diabetic and hypertensive cases, such as history taking, health education, and counseling, measuring blood pressure, height and weight.
-Conducts home-visits for growth retarded, anemic, defaulting patients.
-Keeps an account of received and used medical supplies needed for nursing activities.
-Maintains a high standard of infection control to ensure safety of staff and clients.
-Complies with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
-Performs such other duties as may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Academic and Professional qualifications
-Two-year Diploma in Nursing.
-Possession of a valid license to practice nursing in Palestine.
Experience
At least two years of experience in a similar role.
Language
Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Competencies
-Ability to work under pressure and cope with a heavy workload.
-Good computer skills.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Self- motivated.
EQUIVALENCY:
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered, if less than three qualified candidates are found.

REMUNERATION’S
GRADE: 07
MONTHLY BASE SALARY : 509.40JD + 33% of base salary as supplementary allowance + Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
DEPENDENCY ALLOWANCE : Payable to spouse and up to seven children
DATE FOR ENTRY ON DUTY : As soon as possible
