·        One year experience in a similar port or as a social worker or teacher.

·        Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

·          BA in Psychology, Sociology or other related field is desirable.

Position Title : Field Social Services Officer

Duty Station : Field Office - Jerusalem

Basic Salary : 835.6 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.

Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.

An allowance of 510 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate

Other Benefits : Health Insurance, Provident Fund

• University degree in Social Science, including coursework in Social Development.
• Post-graduate coursework in one or more of the following: Poverty alleviation, women-in-development,
• community-based rehabilitation/integration of disabled persons, community development, local
• institution-building.
• Eight years' progressively more responsible experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation
• of developmental social welfare programmes, including at least three years' supervisory experience.
• Practical experience in training staff and clients of such programmes.
• Participation in action-oriented social research.
• A through knowledge of the social structure and culture of the Palestinian people.
