Urban Planner/Architecture

In the framework of the EU funded project “Planning networks: innovative instruments for the urban planning management and the promotion of urban and territorial inclusion in Palestine and Israel”, DCI-NSA/ PVD/2011/261-852 (www.planningnetworks.org), MEDINA -Association for the cooperation among people, is looking for an experienced Urban Planner to elaborate the detailed urban plan for the light industry zone of Irtah and for the preservation and enhanchment of the two archeological areasthere located.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience.
-Degree in Architecture with a specialization in Urban Planning, or similar;
-At least 5 years previous work experience in urban plan elaboration;
-Previous experience in urban and regional planning projects;
-Previous experience in working with Local Authorities;
-Ability to communicate and write effectively in Arab and English;
-Good command of Office and AutoCad;
-Excellent drafting and report writing skills;
-Valid driving licence holder;

Desiderable qualifications, skills and experience.
-Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning;
-Previous knowledge of the project area;
-Knowledge of Geographical Information System;

Duration: Three months p/t (three days a week) extendable up to Augst 2014.
Location: Tulkarem (oPt). The candidate must be resident in Tulkarem District or nearby.
