Background
The Small and Medium Enterprise Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) project is a four year, USAID funded program implemented by DAI.  SMART aims to rapidly recover Palestinian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and put them on a path to revitalization following unprecedented crises e.g., COVID-19. SMART will help SMEs regain productivity, grow, and expand. It will promote economic growth and self-reliance in the West Bank and Gaza.
 
Purpose
The vetting officer will act as the primary point of contact for matters related to vetting under Mission Order 21 as well as verification of documents submitted by partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries including EBDs, background documents, and grantee files.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide vetting assistance in compliance with Mission Order 21.
  • Manage the vetting tracker.
  • Ensure collection of proper documents for vetting and related documents.
  • Work with the team to ensure that Partner Information Forms are filled out accurately 
  • Perform data entry related to the online submission of PIFs
  • Maintain the record of vetting status of subcontractors, grantees, consultants, and beneficiaries
  • Maintain master files for vetting documentation

EDUCATION
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent years of experience. 
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • At least four years’ relevant work experience.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong tracking and reporting skills with attention to details.
  • High level of interpersonal and diplomatic skills required.
  • Previous work experience in Jordan or the Middle East desired.
  • Ability to maintain and build strong professional relationships with a wide range of beneficiaries and organizations.
