Job Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in an administrative/operations role with an international development organization, preferably with USAID projects.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of USAID’s Mission Order 21 requirements and procedures.
- Previous work experience in West Bank or the Middle East desired.
- Fluency in English and excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong ability to multi-task, attention to detail, including organization, tracking, and reporting skills.
- High level of interpersonal and diplomatic skills required.
- Ability to maintain and build strong professional relationships with a wide range of beneficiaries and organizations.
- Experience using computers and Microsoft Office 265 Suite: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

Project Description:
CNFA is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Vetting Officer position for the USAID Effective Management of Irrigation Water Activity. The purpose of this activity will be to work with farmers in the West Bank and Gaza (WBG) to improve climate-resilient conservation and management of freshwater resources and associated ecosystems by increasing the availability, quality, and environmental resilience of drinking water supply sources. The duration of this Activity will be four years.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations and Finance Director, the Vetting Officer will be responsible for the vetting clearance processes of the vendors, suppliers, participants, grants, procurement, and vehicle movements and will ensure compliance with USAID mission guidance. The Vetting Officer will work closely with the security team to support all vetting processes of staff, vendors, consultants, partners, and any/all recipients of project funding. The vetting officer will act as the primary point of contact for matters related to vetting as well as the verification of documents submitted by partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries, including background documents and grantee files.
