“Vice President for Finance & Administration”
Main Duties & Responsibilities:The Vice President reports directly to the President, is the Chief Financial Officer of Diyar and serves as a member of the President’s upper management team. The VPFA is responsible for overseeing all fiscal and business operations of the Diyar including, but not limited to: finance and accounting, capital and operating budgets, purchasing, human resources, physical plant and facilities, auxiliary services, and risk management. The VPFA provides financial leadership and guidance that ensures the fiscal integrity and operational excellence of Diyar as a complex, multi-faceted organization.
• Qualifications:
• The successful candidate will have obtained a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field, preferably an MBA degree and/or CPA licensure.
• The VPFA is expected to be an experienced and entrepreneurial leader who is
visionary and committed to fostering fiscal and operational excellence and external
partnerships.
• The VPFA will have had at least 8 years of progressively responsible financial and/ or administrative senior management experience.
• He/she will possess excellent analytical, professional, written and verbal
communication and interpersonal skills.
• He/She will be committed to the Diyar’s values of excellence.
• He/she demonstrates skills in strategic and tactical budget and financial planning
and policy development, problem solving, and risk management.
• Demonstrated expertise in facilities management and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated ability to define issues, develop alternatives, and build solutions in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and negotiate contracts and agreements that are mutually beneficial to Diyar and its diverse ministries.
• He/she possess superb interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated
ability to build and lead effective, diverse management teams; proven ability to work effectively in a shared governance and collective environment, and in building synergy among different groups.
• Solid Knowledge of Accounting Software.
