Warehouse Gap Analysis Consultant

Job Description

Chemonics is seeking a skilled consultant to conduct a comprehensive gap analysis and optimization for one of BREB's Beneficiaries warehouse operations. 

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Compliance Gap Analysis:

  • Review current processes and documentation.
  • Identify certifications and standards.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and interviews.
  • Analyze data for compliance gaps.
  • Provide actionable recommendations.

Warehouse Space Utilization Analysis and Optimization:

  • Evaluate layout, storage systems, and processes.
  • Identify space efficiency opportunities.
  • Propose strategies for optimal space allocation.
  • Develop a comprehensive action plan.

Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive Gap Analysis Report with goal identification, current state analysis, requirements analysis, gap identification, and solution proposals.
  • Prioritized strategies for optimizing warehouse space.
  • Action plan addressing identified gaps based on priorities.

Level of Effort and Period of Performance:

  • This short-term technical assistant (STTA) is for 10 days of level of efforts (LOE) over a period of 5 weeks.
  • The consultant is expected to work part-time.
  • The location of this assignment will be one of BREB’s beneficiaries in Nablus, Palestine.
  • Specific responsibilities and deliverables will be shared with short-listed candidates.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, Business or a related field.
  • Holding of relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or any recognized certification in supply chain management is advantageous.
  • The consultant should have proven experience in improving warehouse performance, optimizing operational processes, organizing space to maximize utilization.
  • Familiarity with the latest warehouse management systems and logistics software is preferred.
  • A good understanding of various storage requirements, such as maintaining suitable temperatures and handling sensitive products, is essential.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with warehouse staff, coupled with strong team leadership skills, are crucial.
  • The consultant must have a good understanding of laws and regulations related to the storage and transportation of goods to maintain food and safety requirements such as Ministry of Health and any other applicable laws and regulations.
