Water and Sanitation Field Officer

For an initial eight month period

The Candidate will:
-Participate in the design and implementation of Water and Sanitation rapid assessments and project identification studies
-Participate in the design of Water and Sanitation concept papers and project proposals
-Participate in beneficiary selection and support training
-Organize and supervise the implementation of pre-identified activities in coordination with local counterparts
-Define implementation modalities; community organization, identification and registration of beneficiaries and material distribution
-Participate in introductory meetings held with the community, village council members, local committees and project personnel to discuss and agree on each party’s roles and responsibilities
-Participate in reporting to donors

Profile of the Candidate:
-BSc degree in civil engineering or related field
-Experience with water and sanitation programmes
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet)
-A Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (construction of water networks, transmission  pipelines, reservoirs)
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Project management skills
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written)
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
-Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
-Valid Driving license
