Water and Sanitation Project Manager

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.

For an initial 11 month period

The Candidate will:
-Actively work with the community to assess, identify and report identified needs.
-Design Water and Sanitation interventions in cooperation with the Water and Sanitation Program Manager, the Office Manager and the Water and Sanitation Coordinator.
-Ensure efficient implementation of planned activities with ACF’s counterparts.
-Participate in the design of Water and Sanitation concept papers and project proposals in coordination with the Water and Sanitation Program Manager, the Office Manager and the Water and Sanitation Coordinator.
-Participate in data collection for baseline surveys to measure results and objectives.
-Ensure that the field work complies with project work plans and timeframe.
-Participate in the review of requests for payments for the contractors and counterparts.
-Participate in the forecast and follow up of the project expenses and budgets.
-Participate in the writing of intermediate and final reports for donors.

Profile of the Candidate:
-BSc degree in civil engineering or related field.
-Experience of water and sanitation programmes.
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet).
-A Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (construction of water networks, transmission    pipelines, reservoirs).
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
-Project field management skills.
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
-Knowledge of using Geographical Information System (GIS) is a plus.
-Valid Driving license.
