Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Field Officer
For an initial eight months
The Candidate will:
-Participate in planning of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activities.
-Implement WASH activities (beneficiary selection, field works, trainings, tenders, community
organization, etc.).
-Follow up implementation of subcontracted WASH activities.
-Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries and counterparts.
-Participate in monitoring and evaluation of WASH projects and activities.
-Participate in the design and implementation of WASH assessments, surveys or any other
project identification study in collaboration and coordination with the WASH Program Manager
and technical coordinator.
-Participate in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities
and other key actors about local WASH situation.
-Maintain and cultivate relations at technical level with local authorities, counterparts, beneficiaries
and other external actors related to ACF activities.
-Attend local WASH meetings or project related community meetings.
-Participate in writing of any technical documents related to implementation of WASH activities
(terms of reference, technical studies
-Participate in writing the interim and final reports to donors.
Profile of the Candidate:
Bachelor degree in civil engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years experience in WASH programs; knowledge of humanitarian or emergency programming is a plus.
Very good command of English (speaking, reading and writing)
Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of programs / activities is a plus
Excellent computer skills (AUTO Cad, MS project, Microsoft Office application, Internet).
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and team worker.
Ability to travel in West Bank and stay overnight
Valid driving license and practiced driving skills for no less than 5 years.
