Water & Sanitation Field Officer
For an initial 6 months
The Candidate will:
-Ensure implementation of activities defined by the Program Manager
-Schedule activities according to project development
-Coordinate activities and sensitize local partners in the field
-Identify the community’s technical training needs
-Participate in the design and implementation of WASH assessments, surveys or any other project identification in the field and through data entry, in collaboration and coordination with the Program Manager
-Participate in the design of WASH problem statements, concept papers and projects, in collaboration and coordination with the Program Manager
-Participate in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities and other key actors about the local WASH situation, in coordination with the Program Manager
-Maintain and cultivate relations at the technical level with counterparts, beneficiaries and other external actors related to ACF activities
-Participate in the drafting of technical documents related to the implementation of WASH activities (terms of reference, technical studies or surveys, tender reports, announcements, technical evaluation and final reports, etc.)
-Draft a weekly report (to be sent to WASH Program Manager and WASH Coordinator
Profile of the Candidate:
-Advanced university degree in engineering studies
-Five years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure and household construction projects in international organisations or national NGOs
-Demonstrable experience in project cycle management
-Familiarity with donors and donor procedures
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written)
-Strong computer skills
-Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
-Valid driving license
-Ability to work with a team and under pressure
