Background information:

On behalf of the Bundesministerium fuer wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit (BMZ) the Civil Peace Service (CPS) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH offers two parallel programmes which complement each other:

1. Psychosocial support for children and young people, and 
2. Social cohesion and violence prevention by culture and sport activities in Palestinian refugee camps.

In cooperation with its Palestinian partner organisations the CPS offers ‘safe spaces’ where alternative methods, such as cultural pedagogy and art, are developed to promote prospects of life free from violence and to strengthen peaceful social structures. 

Assignment:

The GIZ ZfD programme is seeking a professional WordPress and FrontEnd developer with sufficient demonstrated experience to carry out the following tasks:

• To develop a web identity of a cooperation partner of the ZfD GIZ programme
• Create keywords for better ranking/SEO.
• Create a good structure for the website. 
• To make sure it works properly on mobile devices.
• To increase visibility, autonomy as well as user-friendliness and website traffic.
• To renew and modernize the structure and the design.
• To increase the organizations’ autonomy in handling the website

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in working with open source platforms
• Demonstrated experience with website solutions not requiring hosting or maintenance
• Excellent command of spoken and written English is required
