Website Master

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drupal Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Drupal-based website and platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of Drupal architecture, module development, and theming.

Main responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features and functionalities in Drupal.
• Ensure high-performance and availability of the website, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Work closely with front-end developers and stakeholders to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
• Configure and customize Drupal modules according to the requirements.
• Update and upgrade website modules and security patches.
• Perform site-building activities, including creating and modifying views, contexts, and blocks to match functionalities specified in wireframes and designs.
• Optimize website performance using caching, CDNs, and image optimization techniques.
• Provide technical support and consultation to other team members.
• Document technical procedures and standards for the use and maintenance of websites and applications.
• Proficient in Drupal site architecture, including a deep understanding of Drupal core, themes, modules, and distributions.
• Extensive experience in developing custom Drupal modules and themes using PHP, adhering to Drupal coding standards.
• Skilled in using Drush and Drupal Console for managing Drupal configurations and operations.

Other responsibilities, 

• Latest data migration and redirects from the old to the new website, making sure all links work properly. 
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the website, including content upload and updates, create new pages and action hubs, feature enhancements, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
• Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website visibility and drive organic traffic.
• Monitor website performance metrics, analyse data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with design teams to implement website enhancements and new features.
• Ensure website compliance with global standards and best practices, including accessibility and security protocols.
• Collaborate with the media team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, leveraging the website as a key channel.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and trends, and make recommendations for adoption where applicable.
• Train and support staff on website management tools and processes.
• Liaise with service and content providers. 
• Overall responsibility of website security includes monitoring, updating and improving security features and firewalls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
• Proven 2 - 3 years experience as a webmaster or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful website projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development languages and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret website analytics data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Compliance with the BDS movement principles, particularly the anti-normalization guidelines.
